Donna Huanca
Donna Huanca
Donna Huanca creates large-scale installations that often serve as platforms for social, interactive and collaborative happenings. She uses discarded materials; especially, clothing, shoes, and fabrics to create installations that are performative in nature, oscillating between the aesthetics of ritual arrangements and displays from ethnological museums. She is interested in clothing as shelter, transportable homes that nomads can hold on to, owning the potential to carry cultural and even genetic traces.
She lives and works in Berlin.
